Over the past few days, I've noticed an increasing number of users reporting that Codex is requesting phone verification.

Interestingly, my current setup:

VS Code
Codex Extension
ChatGPT
Windsurf

continues to work normally.

This suggests that authentication requirements may differ depending on:

Access method
Account status
Region
Service integration
